Hi, there's Chevy owners. Today your 2012 Chevrolet Silverado, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Roadmaster's Nighthawk Tow Bar. Now, when you flat-tow your vehicle, there are five main components that you're gonna need when doing so. You'll need your base plate, which is the connection point for your tow bar on your vehicle. You'll need your tow bar, which is the component that connects your vehicle to your motor home, your safety cables, which is a supplemental connection in addition to your tow bar. You'll need your dialed wiring, which takes all the lighting signals from your motor home and transfer to the lights at the back of your vehicle, so people know your intentions when going down the road, and your supplemental breaking system, which will apply the brakes in your vehicle when you hit them in your motor home to help you come to a safe stop. more

Today, on our 008 Chevrolet Silverado, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Blue Ox Aventa LX tow bar, part number BX7445. Here's what our tow bar looks like when it's fully installed. This is going to allow us to tow our vehicle behind our motor home safely down the road. Now, our tow bar is a self-aligning design, which means once we have it hooked up, all we're going to have to do is pull our RV forward and our arms are going to lock into a rigid position and allow us to tow down the road. Now, the spherical joint here is going to make it easy for us to hook up and stow our tow bar when we're not using it. We can have it on either side. more
